HEY! Do you remember the good old days at my thread on H!O? I do. Lots of laughs, man. Do you miss it? I know I do. V_V Does this sound like an advertisement? Hell yeah. Is there even a point to this post? HELL YEAH.

I’ve decided I want my thread back, but….this time I’m going to do things my way. I’m sure we were all pretty nervous about the whole “spamming” issue. I’ve come up with a solution.

It’s pretty empty, but it won’t be for too long. Expect some brand spanking new updates, and a new fic. (if you haven’t noticed the sidebar already)

It can only be fun if you make it fun and if you read the rules…so…read the rules….as soon as you get there. It’ll make all our lives so much easier. .

Words cannot even describe how happy I am about this. I thought it was funny how people thought that the whole “modeling” thing was fake and she probably had another reason for leaving. WELL, BAH HERE YOU GO!

A DEVILISH kind of love Chapter 11

Chapter 11

“Pei Pei!!”

I shot up from my bed and instinctively put up my fists. Whoever had just called out to me was going to get a mouth full of fist. I noticed the source of the noise and rolled my eyes. I should have figured. Anchii is the only person who yells my name like that. I ignored her and lied back down. I slapped my tail against the bed and closed my eyes.

“HEY! I’m talking to you!”

I turned over in bed and looked at her.

“And I’m ignoring you.”

I turned back around and tried to sleep. I heard her stomping towards me and she grabbed me by the collar.

“Don’t fucking ignore me. I’m talking to you.”

I narrowed my eyes at her and pushed her off me. I dusted myself off and stuck my finger in my ear.

“What? Why are you always yelling at me?”

She grabbed me by the shoulders and shook me.

“What’d you do to her?”

I looked at her strangely. What is she talking about?

“What? I have no idea what you’re talking about.”

“Don’t play dumb with me Pei Pei. You did something to her. You’re making her act funny.”

She was making no sense and it made me angry. I grabbed her by the neck and slammed her against the nearest wall.

“WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?”

She pushed me off and glared at me.

“Youko! What did you do to her?!”

“I didn’t do anything!!”

“Yes, you did!!”

“No, I didn’t!! I haven’t even laid a finger on her!!”

The way she was looking at me almost made me want to burst out laughing. I never knew anybody could look so angry. Even though I was trying hard not to, a small smile formed on my lips. She noticed and I thought maybe she was going to transform into a beast or something.

“Don’t smile at me!!! This isn’t a funny matter! Now stop joking around and tell me what you did to her!”

“Listen, calm down. I seriously don’t know what you’re talking about. I haven’t done anything to Youko lately. In fact, we haven’t exchanged any words. So….I couldn’t have done anything to her.”

Her expression became more serene and instead of yelling again she just seemed like she was really sad. Man, what the hell is going on in her head?

“Are you done yelling at me?”

She clenched her fists and for a second I thought she was going to attack me, but she relaxed her hands and instead she looked at me sadly. In fact, the way she looked at me sort of struck a chord in my heart, but only slightly. Her voice was low as she spoke to me. I almost didn’t catch what she said to me.

“Why you? Why not me?”

She said nothing else and exited the room. I didn’t know what she meant. Me? I don’t get it. What about me? Did I do something? I can’t even think about what I could have possibly done to get her to react so angrily. She wasn’t even this mad when I did THAT to Youko.

I sat back in bed and scratched the back of my neck with my tail. Now that I really thought about it, why was she in here in the first place? From where she was standing, it seemed like she had come in through the backyard. How dare she roam my space while I sleep? She probably had been talking to Youko, too. What a sneaky bitch. I groaned and stood up. Anchii’s shouts had interrupted my sleep and now I felt restless.

I guess it’s time to kill somebody. I made my way to the yard and found Youko standing. She was staring intently at the white expanse further ahead.

“Hey.”‘

She jumped up slightly but seemed relieved when she saw it was only me. I was tempted to ask her about Anchii but there was no point. Although it bothered me, I really didn’t care what was happening between them.

“Let’s go kill someone.”

She nodded her head and reached for my hand. I slapped it away and scowled.

“Don’t touch me. Why aren’t you fighting me?”

“There’s no reason for me to fight you.”

Aw come on. Fighting with her was like the highlight of my day. I bet she’s trying to use some mind trick on me. She’s acting like it doesn’t bother her so I’ll stop doing it. Well, fine, just for today I’ll be sort of nice to her. I can play mind games too.

“Fine, let’s go.”

I surprised her and grabbed her hand. I saw a blush form on her cheeks and I almost felt like gagging a bit. Ugh, don’t do that. Don’t look at me that way. There’s no reason for you to look at me like that. I hate you. I hate you with every fiber of my being. If looks could kill, I would have killed you long ago.

We reached the waterhole and I splashed the water around. I wasn’t looking for anyone in particular. I saw a woman waiting for a bus and just decided to pick her. There was no reason. I guess she’s just unlucky today.

“We’re killing her.”

“Ok.”

I sucked my teeth and crossed my arms. Why didn’t she disagree? This actually makes me kind of sad. What happened to the great gang leader? I thought she would at least put up a fight for a little while longer. Eh…no more fun. Unless I do something to break her soul even more. But what can I do? I could kill her other friend, but would it really affect her? She seemed to have gotten over the death of her first friend pretty quickly.

What other options do I have?

What could I possibly do to break her soul completely? Well….there IS one other option….

But what I really do something like that? Was I really that evil?

……

Yeah, I was.

“Let’s go.”

I grabbed her by the waist and jumped down the water hole. Instead of landing at our destination, I kept us both up in the air. Although I had wings, I never really did use them to fly around. I only ever flew when chasing a person or when fighting a soul. Spreading my wings actually felt kind of good.

I felt Youko bury her face in my chest and she was clinging on to me as if she was scared I was going to drop her. I wasn’t going to, though. I still needed her around. We stayed up in the air for a while until I became tired. I headed towards the nearest building and landed. I carefully placed Youko on the ground and I sat down near the ridge of the roof. Youko was unsure or whether to join me or not. I signaled for her to come sit next to me and she quickly sprinted towards me and sat down. There was a bit of distance between us and the air was heavy with silence. I whipped my tail against the concrete and then began to trace circles on the ground.

“Why aren’t we going after the woman?”

“I don’t feel like doing so just yet. Aren’t you bored of just staring at nothing out in the yard back in hell? At least here we have a change of scenery.”

“I guess so…”

I stayed quiet for a few moments and then spoke again.

“So why was Anchii in the room?”

She was silent for a few seconds, as if she was trying to think of what to say to me.

“Well, she and I talk sometimes. She keeps me company. There’s nothing going on between us, just so you know.”

Hm, why did she find the need to tell me that? If it’s what I think it is, then my plan is going to go along even better than I thought it would.

“Now why would I care about that? You can do whatever you want with her.”

“I don’t want to do anything with her.”

I raised a brow and scooted closer to her. I put a finger under her chin and made her face me.

“And why’s that?”

She gazed at me with what I thought was lust in her eyes.

“I….I…”

I didn’t let her finish and instead stood up. I wanted to laugh. She was going to confess. What a strange girl. Even though I had done so many fucked up things, she had somehow fallen for me. Haha, what an idiot. What a total and complete idiot. It’s going to feel so great when I break her heart. Now I know why she got so pissed off and fought me. She was jealous of Shen Shen. Ha, this is going to be so great.

“Let’s go find that woman and get rid of her.”

“…I hope she isn’t one of those.”

I turned to Youko and gave her a stern look.

“Even if she is, I’ll take care of her.”

I signaled for her to come closer and then I crouched down a bit.

“Get on my back.”

She was surprised but quickly did as she was told. I wasn’t happy to let her be on top, but for now I was going to show some kindness. I lifted myself off the ground and then began to fly through the sky. It was dark out and the stars were already visible. Youko buried her head near my neck and I heard her whisper in my ear.

“They’re really nice to look at.”

“They are.”

It seemed like she was really comfortable on my back and although I was really tempted to make her fall, I didn’t. I continued to fly and eventually found the woman I was looking for.

“There she is. You ready?”

“Yes.”

Right before I landed, Youko hopped off my back and stealthily landed on her feet. I mentally applauded her ability and then faced the woman we were going to kill. She looked normal. . We kept following her until she reached the corner of the street. She looked both ways before crossing and moved slowly. Although it took a while, the woman finally reached an alley. I thought the woman was going to walk into the alley but instead she just stared at something. It was then when I saw it. She had a bloody knife in her hand. I looked down and saw a trail of blood. I hadn’t realized it but she had been pacing back and forth. The blood must have started at the alley and then dripped down onto the ground as she walked.

“Shit, she’s one of them. Keep your eyes open, Youko.”

Youko nodded her head and gripped the handle of her scythe. She ran towards the woman and jumped up into the air. She swung the scythe down with as much force as she could and the scythe went through the woman’s body easily. Youko jumped back and then looked at the alley.

“Should I run my scythe through that person as well?”

“They’re probably dead, but try it.”

Youko looked around and found the body. The man had been stabbed mutiple times and his pants were down. Youko blushed but still used her scythe. I was keeping an eye on the woman. A corrupt soul was bound to come out of her body soon. Youko stood next to me and we both waited. Nothing was happening and I was starting to become anxious.

A loud noise behind us startled us and we both whipped around to see what it was. There was nothing. When we looked back, there was a tiny creature on the floor.

“You’ve got to be kidding me.”

I walked to it and blasted it to smithereens. Part of it’s body dissolved but a big chunk of it was still left. It wasn’t moving though and I just assumed that it was going to dissolve eventually. I walked to Youko and she pointed to something on the ground. It was a pure soul.

“It probably came out of the guy when we weren’t looking.”

We noticed the man was already dead. The wounds had finally gotten to him. Now we just needed to see how the woman was going to die. I kind of had an idea though. She took a few steps and then lifted the knife up in the air. With one quick movement, she buried the knife deep into her chest. Blood began splattering in different directions. She fell down to her knees and blood began to spill from her mouth. She finally fell forward and the knife buried itself deeper into her chest.

“Alright, we’re done. Let’s get out of here.”

“Pei Pei….”

“What’s wrong?”

Youko looked down and spoke.

“I can’t help but feel like there’s something off with what just happened.”

“What do you mean?”

She pointed at the woman.

“Do you really think she did this because she’s a killer? Look at her clothes and then look at the guy. I think….I think he was trying to do something to her.”

The last sentence she spoke was said in a low voice. Of course she wouldn’t be able to say the word. After what I had done to her, it was probably even hard for her to think about anything like that.

“So…you think this woman was protecting herself?”

“Yes.”

“So…that pathetic little soul I just killed actually came from him?”

“I think so.”

I shrugged. It really didn’t matter. We had killed off two souls. To me, it didn’t matter whether they were corrupt or not. I was just doing my job.

“It doesn’t matter, Youko. Let’s just get out of here. I’m tired now.”

I crouched down and signaled for her to jump on my back. She did and I flew up into the air. For some reason, I was really feeling drained. It was strange since I hadn’t even used up any energy when fighting that soul. I just wanted to get back to hell and lie down.

“Are you ok?”

“I’m…fine.”

Youko said nothing else and we flew up higher into the air. Once we had flown up high enough, the sky opened and we rose up from the waterhole and were back in hell. I took a few steps and felt my legs give out. I landed on all fours and felt sweat dripping down the side of my face. Youko quickly knelt down beside me and placed her hand on my back.

“What’s wrong?”

Her voice was dripping with worry. I didn’t know what to answer. I wasn’t ok, but I didn’t want to admit it.

“There’s nothing wrong.”

As soon as I said that, my arms gave out and I landed face first on the floor. Sweat covered my brow and it was getting hard to breathe. I rolled onto my back and clutched my chest.

The last thing I saw before I passed out was Youko running to the door to call for help.
